It’s not hard to see why India is bringing in so many tourists by the year – there are very few countries in the world with such rich history and heritage and such strong ties to their traditions; all of this combined with the steady technological and economic development has created the perfect mixture for attracting large masses of tourists every year. So if you need a place to take this year’s holiday to, look no further!
Starting at Delhi is a good idea – it offers a great variety of things to see and do, especially for tourists. One of Delhi’s attractions is the garden of the Red Fort – a large lawn, divided by quite a long channel streaming water from a nearby mountain. In the garden’s middle the water used to converge into a large pond with a small hut in the middle. An interesting and well-preserved site for those with a knack for history.
If you’re in Mumbai, you’ll likely never run out of things to do (since you’re in the most populated Indian city), but if you’re looking for some extra entertainment, the large number of night clubs (run on modern technology and styled very lavishly) are gong to keep you occupied very well if that’s what you’re after. The town itself is very interesting in general as well, combining a number of different cultural styles into one unique blend.
And of course, a holiday in India can only be complete if you’ve been to the Taj Mahal – a huge monument built centuries ago for one of the wives of the Emperor at the time. It’s currently the largest tomb in India and the most decorated one as well, featuring various kinds of marble and gems all around it. Bring your camera as you won’t want to forget this trip and the sights you see.
