Holidays In Malaysia
Malaysia follows the common style for most Asian countries of combining modern technology and architecture with deep culture and traditions, resulting in an interesting blend that’s very attractive to tourists. If you’ve never been there, prepare yourself for a magnificent experience, as your holiday in Malaysia won’t be easy to forget!
Start at the Penang Hill, close to the centre of George Town. You can take in a lot of the ancient culture here, taking a trip to the Kek Lok Si temple – take your camera too, as the preserved architecture here is simply outstanding!
If you go down to Melaka, you could have a walk around the ruins of St Paul’s Church, situated atop of St Paul’s Hill. It used to be a chapel called “Our Lady of the Hill” when the Portuguese were here, but it was renamed to St Paul’s Church by the Dutch later on.
Kuana Lumpur has its own Chinatown, which can offer you a great variety of things to do, like shopping for handmade items, bargaining for the prices, and buying cheap imitation merchandise – or you could just walk around and enjoy looking at the people.
If you are here over the summer season, Penang has many beaches to satisfy your desire for a relaxing holiday under the sun – the so-called monkey beach is a great deal in particular, known for its attractive tourist deals and fantastic conditions for spending some relaxing beach time.
In Kuala Lumpur, you could see one of the largest mosques in the entire Southeast Asia, the Sultan Salahudin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque (try to repeat that without looking!). Featuring various elements of the Islamic culture, it combines them with Malay elements to create an interesting mixture that’s delightful for exploration and taking pictures, especially if you come around dawn.
